Embroidery
Embroidery is the process of sewing (embroidering) your design on any of a wide variety of textiles. Because of the wide variety of colors and styles of thread these designs can be anything from understated and elegant tone-on-tone designs to eye catching full jacket back designs that include hundreds of thousands of stitches.
We have rayon and polyester thread available, both are great for different applications. In addition we have special effects threads like gold and silver metallic that have a very reflective sheen to them and really stand out from the crowd.
While we can sew on just about any fabric we recommend that you pick a sturdy fabric to sew on and the results are generally better. This includes any pique or jersey-kint polo, hats, jackets, robes, monogrammed towels and much more.
Samples & Processes
Our machines can run up to 1,000 stitches a minute and have the capability to sew hundreds of items a day. Like all things that we do a Print World, our turn around time on embroidery is very fast, usually within 3 days once your design is sewn-out and approved. The embroidery process generally proceeds in the following order:

DigitizingThis is the process in which we convert your design to a format that an embroidery machine can understand. It is at this point that we decide what colors get used and what the design is intended to be sewn on. If we are informed ahead of time we can generally make one design work on caps and shirts so you can have a uniform look throughout your garments. Sew OutWhile we are very confident in our abilities our customers generally like to see a sew out to have an idea of how their logo/design will look converted to stitches. Once this sew out is approved we the proceed to the final stage. EmbroideringOur machine can sew multiple garments simultaneously and can sew different color threads on each. You might want to order several colors of polos and have a different colored version of your logo sewn on each. Our customers like embroidery because there are no setup costs once you have your design digitized. This means you can order 2 shirts for the "new guy" or 50 shirts for your whole crew and the price will be about the same per piece. |
